Product Introduction

This equipment is a highly efficient, continuously operating steel pretreatment production line. After preheating, steel is conveyed via a roller conveyor into a shot blasting chamber. Multiple high-efficiency shot blasters positioned at different coordinates deliver powerful, intensive impacts and friction to the steel, rapidly removing scale, rust, and other impurities from the surface, thereby cleaning and strengthening the steel. During the shot blasting process, the scattered shot-dust mixture is collected by a chamber hopper and vertical and horizontal screw conveyors at the bottom of the elevator. It is then lifted to the separator at the top of the machine for separation. The separated shot falls into the separator hopper and is then transported through a shot conveyor pipe to the various shot blasters for recycling. Dust generated during operation is conveyed through an exhaust duct to a dust removal system. The purified air is then discharged into the atmosphere, and particulate dust is captured by a dust collector.

After shot blasting, the steel is conveyed to a cleaning chamber, where a shot-cleaning roller brush removes any residual shot from the surface. A high-pressure blower then uses a full-range tail-blowing system to achieve a spotless surface that meets the standards required for paint spraying. After cleaning, the workpieces are transported to the paint booth, where two sprayers, one above the other, apply paint. The paint film thickness can be controlled by adjusting the roller speed, nozzle size, and operating mode. The painted steel is then transported to a drying room for drying. The drying room utilizes either combustion or electric heating. After drying in the drying room, the workpieces are transported to the discharge conveyor, completing the steel pretreatment process.

▶ Product Structure

Steel Plate Conveying System
The conveying system in a steel plate pretreatment line is responsible for transporting steel plates from one process module to another, ensuring continuity and stability. This system typically utilizes chains, rollers, or steel belt conveyors, accommodating steel plates of varying sizes and thicknesses. The flexible conveying system design ensures that the steel plates are not damaged during processing and are evenly distributed throughout the process modules.
Rust Removal and Cleaning Module
The first step in a pretreatment line is typically rust removal and cleaning, primarily through sandblasting, shot blasting, chemical cleaning, or water washing to remove oxides, oil, rust, and impurities from the steel plate surface. This module is typically equipped with equipment such as sandblasters and shot blasters to thoroughly clean the steel plate surface, ensuring smooth processing of subsequent processes.
Pickling and Descaling Module
The pickling module removes scale and rust from the steel plate surface by immersing or spraying it with an acid solution, ensuring a smooth and uniform surface. The clean surface of the pickled steel plate facilitates subsequent processing steps, such as painting and welding.

Phosphating and Rust Prevention Module
Phosphating is a key process in the steel plate pretreatment line. It forms a thin film on the steel plate surface through a chemical reaction, effectively improving the steel's corrosion resistance and enhancing adhesion. This process typically uses a phosphate solution and is carried out by spraying or immersion.
Drying and Curing Module
During the steel plate pretreatment process, after cleaning, pickling, or phosphating, moisture or chemical residue may remain on the steel plate surface. The drying module uses a hot air circulation system to dry the steel plate surface, ensuring it is dry for the next step. The drying system also effectively improves the effectiveness and quality of subsequent treatments.
Electrical Control System
The electronic control system is the "brain" of the steel plate pretreatment line, responsible for unified scheduling and control of various process modules. Utilizing technologies such as PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces), operators can easily monitor and adjust production parameters to ensure smooth production. The system also enables automated adjustments, real-time monitoring of equipment operating status, and early warning of potential failures.

Dust Removal System
Because the pretreatment process generates a large amount of dust and exhaust gas, the dust removal system uses efficient dust collection and filtration equipment to remove dust from the work environment, ensuring the health of operators, reducing equipment failure rates, and complying with environmental protection requirements.

▶ Advantages

Highly Efficient Cleaning Capabilities
The steel plate pretreatment line's rust removal, cleaning, pickling, and phosphating processes efficiently remove impurities, oil stains, rust, and scale from the steel plate surface, providing an ideal surface foundation. This not only improves the steel plate's surface adhesion but also ensures the quality of subsequent processes such as spraying and painting.
High Level of Automation
The equipment is equipped with an advanced automated control system that automatically adjusts cleaning and treatment parameters based on the specific steel plate and process requirements. This increased automation significantly reduces manual operations, lowers production costs, and improves production efficiency and accuracy.
Energy Saving and Environmental Protection
The steel plate pretreatment line was designed with energy conservation and environmental protection in mind. By optimizing the process flow and equipment configuration, the equipment minimizes energy consumption and resource waste. Furthermore, the dust removal system effectively treats exhaust gas and dust during the production process, meeting modern environmental standards.
Improving Product Quality
Through comprehensive surface treatment, the steel plate surface is free of rust, oil stains, and scale, providing a smoother, cleaner surface for subsequent coating, welding, and other processes. This not only improves the product's appearance, but also extends its service life and corrosion resistance.

Flexible Adaptability to Different Steel Plate Specifications
The steel plate pretreatment line is highly adaptable, capable of processing steel plates of varying sizes, thicknesses, and materials to meet diverse production needs. By adjusting the parameters of each process module, the equipment can flexibly adapt to the processing requirements of different steel plates.
Improving Production Efficiency
The entire production line utilizes an automated conveying system, automatically transporting steel plates between each process module, significantly improving production efficiency. Compared to traditional manual processing methods, the steel plate pretreatment line operates at a much faster rate, meeting the needs of large-scale production.

▶ FAQ

What industries are steel plate pretreatment lines suitable for?
Steel plate pretreatment lines are widely used in industries such as automotive, shipbuilding, steel, construction, and machinery manufacturing. They are particularly suitable for steel plates that require surface treatment prior to spraying, painting, or welding. They effectively improve the adhesion and corrosion resistance of steel plates, meeting diverse production requirements.

How can the efficiency of steel plate pretreatment lines be improved?
The key to improving cleaning efficiency lies in properly adjusting the operating parameters of each process module, such as pickling time, cleaning temperature, and phosphating concentration. Furthermore, regular maintenance and servicing of all equipment ensures efficient operation of the steel plate pretreatment line. By optimizing production processes, overall efficiency can be further improved.

What are the key points of daily maintenance for steel plate pretreatment lines?
Daily maintenance includes regular inspections of the conveying, cleaning, pickling, and drying systems to ensure proper operation of each module. Regularly clean the dust removal system and check the status of electrical equipment such as sensors and PLCs. Components subject to significant wear should be promptly replaced to ensure efficient and stable operation of the line.
